Welcome to the Bergeron Foreign Trade Zone

IS THE ZONE RIGHT FOR YOUR OPERATIONS?:

If you are concerned about Zone operational issues or regulations, or you think Free Trade Zones are only suited to a particular industry, consider this:

Car manufacturing plants, oil refineries, computer manufacturers, and textile distributors are all utilizing Zones. So are companies with as few as 15 employees.

If you are already using another Customs tariff-reduction program, such as Duty Drawback, Temporary Importation Bond, or a Bonded Warehouse, you need to consider U.S. FTZs as a way to streamline your operations, cut down on paperwork, increase your flexibility, and save additional money, all at the same time. Many companies are discovering that Zones more efficiently meet their needs than other Custom programs.

The bottom line advantages….
Under U.S. Custom regulations, a Foreign-Trade Zone is an area considered to be in international commerce. This allows companies to move foreign or domestic materials into a Zone Duty-free. Duty is only paid when goods leave the Zone and enter domestic markets.

Companies that manufacture or assemble products here have the option of paying duty on either the components parts or the finished product, whichever is lower. Plus duties can be completely eliminated on products re-exported, all with the approval of U.S. Customs.

If your business is a substantial importer of goods in South Florida, then you belong in the Bergeron Foreign-Trade Zone.
